Animated Classics Of Japanese Literature - The Izu Dancer

This collection of animated shorts features three tales based on the works of the renowned Japanese authors Kawabata Yasunari, Mori Ohgai, and Koisumi Yakumo. The first, Yasunari's THE IZU DANCER is a story about a student whose love for a dancer may never be fulfilled because of their conflicting social status. Ohgai's THE DANCING GIRL finds a Japanese businessman in Berlin saddled with a mistress and child who could jeopardize his career. Finally, Yakumo's A GHOST STORY finds a blind lutist conjuring the dead, who ask for a special concert.
