Taking place in a future where a deadly virus is terrorizing Tokyo, BETTERMAN finds the fate of the world resting in the hands of two mysterious do-gooders. One is the shadowy Akamatsu Industries, an organization disguised as a machine factory that actually fights the virus with neurally enhanced weapons. The other is Betterman, a lone warrior dedicated to saving the citizens of his beloved metropolis.
