Falling Angels

Based on the novel by Barbara Gowdy, FALLING ANGELS tells the story of three girls maneuvering their way into adulthood in 1960s suburbia. Emotionally abandoned by their mentally absent mother and father, the three Field sisters must figure out the world on their own. Canadian director Scott Smith infuses his film with realistic detail and natural performances from a cast led by Miranda Richardson. While the family he depicts is far from perfect, it rings true to life in both its humorous and dramatic moments.
