The lives of Georgia farmers aren't as pastoral as the might seem, at least as shown in this fine drama directed by Mann. The movie follows the lives of several Georgia farmers, including one who thinks there may be treasure buried on his property. Yordan wrote the script from the novel by Erskine Caldwell.
