Heavens Above

Peter Sellers stars in this comedy as the Reverend John Smallwood, an unconventional prison chaplain who is appointed as Vicar of the town of Orbiston Parva by mistake. Unprepared to conform to the town's rigid expectations, Smallwood immediately creates an uproar upon his arrival by unwittingly shaking up the town's social order. Soon, Smallwood's ways have turned the town upside down, putting the local laxative factory nearly out of business and drawing the ire of Bishop Goodbody, who still doesn't know the wrong Smallwood has arrived in Orbiston Parva. Featuring a hilarious performance by the inimitable Mr. Sellers, HEAVENS ABOVE is a delightful comedy.
