Jibjab - Early Years 1999-2004

In 2004, the Jib Jab brothers Gregg and Evan Spiridellis injected some much-needed levity into the highly contentious American presidential campaign with their hilarious animated film short THIS LAND. A musical parody set to the tune of Woody Guthrie's "This Land is Your Land," the Internet cartoon bridged the red-state/blue-state divide with good-natured swipes at both George W. Bush and John Kerry, uniting conservatives and liberals long enough to cause an Internet sensation and generate 80 million hits to the Jib Jab website. This volume transplants the Spiridellis' savvy political satire from the computer monitor to the television screen with a collection of 14 animated Jib Jab shorts, including THIS LAND and its follow-ups GOOD TO BE IN DC and SECOND TERM, as well as earlier works such as SANTA CLAUS, AHNULD FOR GOVERNOR, COOKING WITH CLINTON, and more.
