Our America is the incredible true story of two young boys from Chicago's deprived southside who take up a local radio challenge to make a documentary about their everyday lives. The controversial program is riddled with horror stories of a drug dealing, gang warfare, drive-by killings, and broken homes.

For some listeners, Lloyd Newman (Brandon Hammond, TV's "Soul Food") and LeAlan Jones' fly-on-the-wall portrait of ghetto life seems to be too negative; too concentrating on the bad aspects of life in their depressed neighborhood.
