Paris Reunion Band

Kenny Clarke came to Paris to settle in 1956 and ultimately became spiritual leader of the expatriate American jazz community. He established a drum school in the capital and became the unofficial jazz counsel and counselor to the U.S. musicians –both residents and visitors. The Paris Reunion Band was conceived in the Fall of 1984 as a way of paying musical homage to Kenny Clarke and of recapturing the mood and spirit of Paris in the late fifties and early sixties, when it was the jazz capital of Europe –it has multi-national associations.
