Gene Autry receives a telegram from his brother Tex in South Africa. Tex has discovered a huge diamond mine, but needs Gene's and Smiley's help to begin working it. They bring a team of horses and cowboys across the sea, but another prospector has a devious plan to chase the brothers away. Gene's travels are stalled by back-stabbing guides, fierce natives and ferocious animals. When they emerge from the jungle, Gene and his brother are accused of murder.
