In this late-70s action/adventure drama, a tiny island in the Indian Ocean provides the setting for an elaborate contest to steal the world's best protected, and most valuable. gem--the Shalimar ruby. When the wealthy jewel thief Sir John Locksley (Rex Harrison) learns that he will soon die, he decides that his most prized possession should pass to one worthy of its glory. As a result, he invites the best rival jewel thieves to his vast estate for a contest, to the death, for the invaluable gem. The talented cast, including MY FAIR LADY'S Harrison, also includes Sylvia Miles (MIDNIGHT COWBOY) and a host of Bollywood stars, including Dharmendra and Shammi Kapoor.
