Raising The Heights

In New York's Crown Heights, an African-American teenager named Michael wants to succeed, but finds it difficult to resist going down the wrong path. Meanwhile, Judy Burke, a TV reporter, is willing to deny her own Jewish heritage to achieve success. When drug-related violence erupts in their neighborhood, their feelings of alienation and frustration spur them on to confront their angers and fears.
