Austrian television captured a remarkable concert in 1991 when they trained their cameras on Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, who was performing Schubert's DIE SCHONE MULLERIN for the first time in 20 years. As Fischer-Dieskau, pianist Andras Schiff provided accompaniment, with the collaborative effort providing listeners with a hugely pleasurable experience. This release offers the show in full, and is released to coincide with the 80th birthday of Fischer-Dieskau.
