The 1930s and 40s saw a spate of unconventional Westerns centered on singing cowboys equally adept at crooning and gunslinging. This collection compiles four classic Western musicals starring three of the genre's biggest stars: Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, and Tex Ritter (father of THREE'S COMPANY star John Ritter). In OH, SUSANNA! (1937), Autry sets out to clear his name when a criminal assumes his identity and murders his best friend. THREE IN THE SADDLE (1944) finds Ritter riding into action to help a female rancher facing eviction from a greedy robber baron and his outlaw gang. BELLS OF ROSARITA (1945) pairs Rogers with his real-life partner Dale Evans in the story of a circus owner being swindled by her dead father's former business partner. And in SPRINGTIME IN THE ROCKIES (1937), Autry tries to prevent a range war between an inexperienced sheepherder and her cattle rancher neighbors.
