Tangled (2002)

Rachael Leigh Cook stars in this thriller as Jenny, a young woman whose relationship with a man found in a state of sever shock on a roadside prompts a police investigation that uncovers a sordid love triangle. Told mostly in flashback by Jenny's friend David (Hatosy), the story begins as David recounts his relationship with Jenny, a friendship he hoped would turn into romance. Just as David begins to realize that Jenny has little interest in a romantic relationship, his old friend Alan (Rhys-Meyers) appears and immediately hits it off with Jenny, provoking David's jealousy, an emotion that does not serve him well when he tries to warn Jenny of Alan's troubled past.
