The story of Juanito and his mother Hilaria, who live a discreet and simple life in the town of Santa Cruz de la Montana. The overseer of the town, Albino falls madly in love with Hilaria and becomes her only aly when her life becomes a constant nightmare due to her son's newfound clairvoyant abilities. The town folk become restless and eventually desperate in light of such an inexplicable ability. Things begin to quickly spin out of control when Juanito is confronted with a dilemma that mortally threaten the order of all things in Santa Cruz de la Montana.
