War Gods Of Babylon & War Goddess / (Ws Dol)

In War Gods Of Babylon (1962), popular American movie and TV actor Howard Duff stars as the king of Ninevah who conquers the mighty city of Babylon. The climax of the film is an impressive special effects sequence in which the Gods of Babylon destroy their enemies with a flood.

In the second feature War Goddess (1974), gorgeous Alena Johnston is Antiope, the Queen of the Amazons, who must mate with the Greek king Theseus to propagate her race. Traditionally this is only done out of duty but this time something goes amiss and Antiope falls in love with her "boy toy"....a definite no-no for an Amazon Queen. War Goddess was intended as a prestige production from American International Pictures but somewhere along the way their exploitation sensibilities took over. Helmed by "James Bond" director Terence Young and based on a story co-authored by Robert "I, Claudius" Graves, War Goddess is a sexy and spectacular entry in the Sword and Sandal genre.
