When prominent, married physician Dr. Phillip Pearloff (Powers Boothe) makes the mistake of spending a night of passion with a beautiful stranger, he doesn't anticipate that the woman will become dangerously attracted to him. After he continues to spurn her, she arranges her own murder--which will make Dr. Pearloff appear to be the prime suspect.
