When Nature Calls

Charlie Kaufman, the director of the satirical horror fave Mother’s Day spoofs the entire theatre-going experience with an expert eye in this raucous gag-a-second comedy. The laughs emit at a breakneck pace as hilarious faux coming attractions give way to the main feature, The Outdoorsters, an irreverent tale of an urban family who runs from the rat race to the wild outdoors, where they face the pressures of having a home where the buffalo roam. Wild cougars threaten their existence as their daughter finds a burgeoning romance with a bear. Weejun the Ka O Pec Tate Indian acts as the family’s guide through a wild film that includes appearances by Willie Mays, G. Gordon Liddy, Morey Amsterdam and theater concession stand hot dogs that come alive in a delightfully raunchy animated seqence! Fans of Monty Python and the Farelly Brothers will go wild for this send-up of cinema itself!
