ZEBRAHEAD stars Michael Rapaport ("The 6th Day," "Men of Honor") in his film debut as Zack, a white teenager who lives and goes to school in a predominantly African-American area of Detroit. Zack makes no distinctions along racial lines, and it seems natural to him and his best friend, Dee (Kevin Corrigan, "Chelsea Walls"), when he begins dating the new girl in town, Dee's beautiful cousin Nikki (N'Bushe Wright, "Blade"). Not everyone agrees Zack's white friends taunt him for dating an African-American girl; Nikki's friends laugh with disbelief at her white boyfriend's attempts to "act black." But their romance is tested when Nut (Ron Johnson, "Sister Act 2"), a local gangbanger, decides he wants Nikki to be his. An authentic, sober-eyed view of the life and loves of an urban teenager, ZEBRAHEAD is "a 13 on a one-to-10 scale," according to Gary Franklin of KCOP-TV, Los Angeles.
